Established as a congregation in 1831, we are an "experienced" church living to learn each and every way.  We have a rich and vibrant history of involvement in social justice issues that create opportunities for us to stretch and grow into the people God knows us to be.  We are truly attempting to live into the statement "No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here." If you have ever felt rejected or intimidated by "church," come check us out! If you are looking for a church that will walk with you as you question God and your faith, we are here ready to walk along with you. We read the Bible as a sacred text written for a specific people in a specific time but open to God speaking through the text today for our time and place when we gather in community.  We believe that God has yet more truth and light to break forth from God's Holy Word.  There are no pretenses nor are there "litmus tests" to join our family. We know we aren't perfect and we don't expect you to be either. We only ask that you come with compassion, honesty and love, listening for our still speaking God. Rev. Jim Brehler is our Pastor, Teacher and Servant.

We have a wonderful nursery room and a well stocked youth room available for the young and young at heart.

In 2002, major renovations were done to the church to make it accessible by installing an elevator and gently sloping ramps that provide access to all levels, while installing up to date accessible lavatory facilities on the main floor to accommodate anyone who may have a physical challenge.

We also provide large print bulletins including enlarged copies of the hymns for those who have impaired sight and we have audio headsets for those with hearing impairment.
